Kite Diagram
ANALYSIS
From this graph, we are trying to find out the different amount of litter each group found over a different distance. The graph is effective to use as it tells us the amount of different litters found along Pantai Morib.
1. Glass
Overall, there weren't many glass items being collected. For example, group 1,2, and 3 didn't find any at all while group 4 -8 have at least found more than 2 glass litter. I assumed this to be happening is due to long shore drift. If i refer to the beach profile,i would find that there weren't many human interaction from group 5-8. Therefore, the possibility for group 1-3 to find nothing is low. So, the most likely reason for this would be long shore drift carrying the litter to the areas that don't have many human interaction. Of course, there are also exceptional for visitors would seek for quieter place for a drink.
2. Metal
There were only a few metal items found at the beach. Like the previous one, group 1 and 2 didn't found litters while from the area of group 3 and onwards there were a few metal items being collected. Now that i think about it, i would say that the cleaners who takes care of the beach only cleans the area where most human interaction happens. This is because even tough the long shore drift may carry the litter to the mangrove area, the litters wouldn't be accumulated if the cleaners went to the mangrove area to pick up the litters as well.
3. Paper
In the above diagram, group 1,2,7,8 has found more paper litters while group 3 and 6 had only collected a few paper litters. Perphaps, there is more human interaction in the areas of group 1,2,7 and 8 and less in the areas of group 3 and 6. However, the blame still goes to the visitors who are constantly littering the place. On the other hand, the areas near the mangrove seems to have an amount of paper litters and i assume that the paper litters were originally from the areas near the mamak stall where group 2 is. This is because from group 6 onwards, there are very little human intereaction according to the beach profile.

4. Plastic
To be short, all the groups have found plastics along the shore. This reflects many visitors are bringing plastic items to the beach and left it on the shore when it is of no use. Examples of common plastic items found are water bottles, plastic bags, bottle caps etc. By looking at the diagram, Group 1 and 8 shows the highest amount of plastic litter among the other groups. The litters that Group 1 had collected was around the mamak stalls area where most human interaction takes place. which explains why there were more litters around. In the opposite, group 8 is the area near the mangrove swamp where less visitors would go. Therefore, the most likely reason why there were so many plastic litter found would be because of long shore drift and cleaners are not bothered going that far to pick up litters.
5. Cigarette butts
Group 1 and 2 had collected less cigarette butts than group 3, 4 and 6. The reasons for this could be because the cleaners are lazy and only picked up the cigarette butts at the more popular areas. Plus, cigarette butts are so tiny, therefore we can't really blame the cleaners for not picking them up because they can be covered by sand. Therefore, the blame still goes back to the smokers. As why group 7 and 8 couldnt find any cigarette butts at all can be because they were eaten by the marine life while long shore drift was carrying it along to the North or the group members of the two groups didnt bother to find cigarette butts as it was too tiny and most likely covered with sands.
6.Clothing
Group 1, 4 and 8 had found some clothing at the beach. Possible reasons are couples were making out or nude party as we found some under garments. Perhaps, some visitors have left their clothing when they were camping or it was washed ashore by strong waves.
7.Others
In this category, group 2,5,6, and 7 found the most random items that are not clarified. Perhaps, all this items were washed ashore by strong waves or people forgetting to take their belonging.
